• Planned and executed a successful $500M multi-year submarine overhaul and nuclear refueling that was completed on schedule and within budget as Chief Engineer and Project Manager; the project team of Navy personnel and contractors/vendors was recognized for superior performance, earning numerous awards• Approved over 350 technical maintenance and operational procedures; ensured procedures were technically correct, easily followed by technicians, and leveraged previous lessons learned• Supervised the installation and testing of the first upgraded microprocessor reactor instrumentation and control system; resulted in a 50% reduction in preventative and corrective maintenance• Responsible for the training of all Engineering personnel, preventative and corrective maintenance, and operations of nuclear, secondary steam, and support systems.
