Using adult learning principles, I develop and design training materials for in-person and online courses to ensure paid and volunteer staff have the knowledge and skills necessary for providing effective, quality services for the Restoring Family Links (RFL) program. In addition to personally facilitating our in-person content, I manage a nationwide roster of instructors certified in providing our course material. To make the program's training solutions more sustainable, I developed a train-the-trainer program to support the instructor roster and address training gaps within the field.For online content, I consulted a group of stakeholders to identify training needs of caseworkers and casework managers that could be addressed through online learning. Based on that data, I designed and developed self-paced online learning using Adobe Captivate and Creative Suite, and Camtasia. This has included a series of technical training on the database used for managing RFL casework.When additional training needs have been identified, I have worked with my RFL team and instructor roster to identify appropriate training interventions. This has ranged from connecting caseworkers to virtual mentors to provide guidance and support to providing in-person assistance and training. I also collaborate with other International Service Department programs to provide support to our field offices through webinars, conference calls and other communications. Managing and involving volunteers in all of these programs has been critical for their success.

The Restoring Family Links program at the American Red Cross helps reconnect families separated by conflict, disaster, migration and other humanitarian emergencies. As a caseworker at National Headquarters, I worked with a team to support volunteer and paid staff across the Red Cross chapter network in providing our services; conduct quality control on cases to ensure complete and accurate data; assess the capacity of the American Red Cross and the Global Red Cross Movement to provide services; and work with other Red Cross Red Crescent National Societies to improve on service delivery.As an outreach associate, I worked to promote our services through social media and among our national-level partner organizations. I also supported the outreach efforts of the American Red Cross chapter network through the provision of resources, training, and grants.

Worked with students one-on-one for 30 minute to one hour sessions. As a writing counselor, I did basic copy editing of student papers covering a broad range of topics and types of papers (e.g. memos, grant proposals, formal essays, etc.). More than editing the grammar of any student's writing, I worked with them to improve and grow their writing style and skills.
