SEE BELOW: for the cliff notes of my professional life.The truth is I'm 1 of 1, my journey to today has been one of the more eclectic stories that has NEVER been written (yet). I'm a dedicated husband, father, partner who has never taken the obvious route. My path was laid out for me when I first dreamed of being an explorer at the age of 8. Curious about what was beyond the next hill or around the next bend at our local beach, that curiosity never wavered. The Highlights: *Spent over a decade living off the grid in the most remote Jungles of Central and South America. *Founded one of the first Eco-Tourism businesses in Costa Rica in 1992, Escondido Trex*Working for a foundation I co-founded, visited almost every Embera / Choco Indigenous village in the Darien Gap Panama over the course of 2 years*Raised millions of dollars to protect 100's of million of acres of primary forest between Central America and the Amazon*Co-Founded People Lead in 1999, one of the first social networks using musical artists and environmental causes as the link*Sold my first TV show within weeks of becoming a "Producer" and went on to create and produce many shows for MTV, Discovery, Travel Channel, A&E, and award winning documentaries*Overall deal at HBO, signed with CAA as a reality producer without any prior experience in film and TV*Needed a change, jumped into Advertising (again, no prior experience) my first job was to executive produce / produce / creative on a Super Bowl commercial for Dannon Oikos, #9 that year*Ran Creative at an agency for several years, produced 100’s of commercials for the biggest brands on Earth*Founded and ran Small Ax, a disruptive ad agency, produced 1000's of spots, won over 17 Telly awards for work we produced, built teams, understand messaging BUT most of all found the holes in the agency model, ripped them wide open and created a new model for Agencies called: Ideation to ProductionI don't fit a mold.When I don't get a seat at the table, I build my own. The startup is my happy place.My wife and I survived a plane crash.I love sales, I create relationships and I only sell what I believe in. I build teams that lead armies. My next venture is my biggest yet, the culmination of all my experiences rolled up into a simple but critical solution to one of the world's most pressing issues: water.
