Responsible for the Management of Major Emergencies, as the Incident Commander, and appointed Site Controller in the Integrated Safe Systems of Work (ISSOW). Operations Superintendent
Appointed Site Safety Manager under the Australian Petroleum and Gas Act, accountable for People, Environmental, Asset and Community Safety. Responsible for all Operations of the Northern Hub, comprising of 1000+ well-sites and associated gathering system, Six Field Compression Stations, and a Three Train (750mmscf) Gas Processing Plant. Ownership of the Production and Maintenance schedules (90 Day, 6 weeks, and 2 week plans). Responsible for managing Workforce performance, using Goals and performance appraisals, reward and recognition, performance improvement plans, and the accountability Matrix. • HSSE - 2 years without Injury. • Production - 250% increase through well optimization.• Wells - 20% increase in availability to 90% (KPI 77%)• Plant - 99.8% availability (KPI 99.2%)• Schedule attainment - 90% compliance with Maintenance schedules (KPI 85%)• Cost Control - 10% Reduction in controllable OPEX ($357 Million budget)• People - Six Operators/Technicians developed into Leadership roles.• Culture - A Self-fulfilling Behavioural Safety and Performance culture delivering best in business HSSE & Production.• Reporting - Comprehensive and accurate daily reporting, detailing the status of all wells and facilities. • Emergency Response – Managed Loss of Containment, Fires, Security breaches and adverse weather events.
Operations Superintendent (Commissioning & Start Up)
Held accountable for all start up activities of QCLNG upstream facilities. Manage the safe commissioning and start-up of Twenty field compression stations and Four central processing plants, by ensuring Operational Readiness and robust Pre-Start Safety Reviews are conducted. Lead a team of Operations, Maintenance & Control Room Supervisors, Process/Start-up Engineers, Vendors, and Operators/Technicians. Implement all QGC operational policies, standards, and procedures across all new assets. Deliver a production ramp up from 200TJ to 1650TJ per day. Ensure production targets are met in accordance with nominations throughout the start-up campaign. Participate in the recruitment of Operations, Start-up, and Commissioning team members, internally and through human resources. Ensure a robust and visible behavioural safety culture. Conduct formal review and approval of all project documentation, and the Completions and Handover process.• HSSE - 2 years Incident and Injury free.• Production - 1450 TJ/d production ramp up.• Plant - Successful Commissioning & Start-up of 80 screw compression trains & 8 Gas Processing Trains.• Schedule - 100% compliance with Project execution plan.• Cost Control - $11 Million under budget, due to efficiency gains, resulting in shorter durations with less personnel.• Reporting - QGC focal point for Petroleum & Gas Inspectorate audits. All audits passed with positive feedback, resulting in improved relations with inspectorate and the DNRM.• Support - Carefully managed the transfer of care, custody and control of all assets from Projects to Operations, providing ongoing support to Operations to close out post Start-up issues and implement reliability improvements.
Operations Team Leader - Offshore
Provide HSSE leadership to the Production & Maintenance team. Lead the day to day execution and planning of all Production and Maintenance activities, including Management of Vendors. Responsible person for Control of Work and Issuing of all Permits to Work, as the Platform Area Authority. Develop, Mentor and Conduct competency assessments of Azeri National Supervisors. Contribute in the implementation of the offshore technical integrity strategies.
