This position also delivers assistance and expertise to ensure… Show more Environmental Analysis Specialists are advanced level positions that are engaged in a wide variety of projects. This position requires effective communication and coordination with the public, multiple DNR programs, state and federal agencies, tribes, non profit organizations, and municipalities. One key focus area is the multidisciplinary environmental review of DOT highway, local municipal road, and airport improvement projects. This position also delivers assistance and expertise to ensure objective issue identification, analysis, critical thinking, and public participation for all Department programs to meet the spirit and intent of the Wisconsin Environmental Policy Act. I am one of the founding members of the DNR Aquatic Connectivity work group that provides technical assistance to staff as well as external education and outreach to stakeholders about the diverse benefits of adequately designed and installed road stream crossings. I was also a member of the wetland technical team for the Environmental Analysis program which worked to resolve complex wetland issues among multiple stakeholders. I enjoy the diversity of issues and challenges that are involved with working for this program. To serve the Department and the public I strive to listen, communicate effectively, use common sense, employ critical thinking and science, and find innovative solutions to help best meet the diverse goals of complex projects.
