I have taught dozens of advanced aquatic courses for the City of Winnipeg, including National Lifeguard Pool, Swim Instructor, and Lifesaving Instructor – programs created by the Lifesaving Society Canada.

With a team of other aquatics professionals, I designed and facilitated in-service lifeguard training for the Y Winnipeg's four branches. Previously, I supervised swimming lessons, lifeguarded public swims, and acted as Manager on Duty at the Downtown Branch.

I worked with print, radio, and TV journalists in English and French to raise awareness about drowning prevention. I trained, mentored, and supervised a team of five instructors who delivered week-long Water Smart education in over thirty rural and remote communities around Manitoba during the summer. I designed efficient processes and structures to help support the program and Lifesaving Society Manitoba's public education initiatives. Prior to leading the team, I worked for two summers as an instructor.
