How did I land in video production??I was a hobbyist photographer growing up; I loved capturing and creating beautiful images, and learned the technical side of cameras and film through my teenage years. I branched into video and continued this for fun as I worked as a general manager in the restaurant industry.Managing multiple restaurants taught me the importance of communication; of listening to and understanding the needs of the people within my scope in order to best do my job. It taught me about business, financials and marketing. And it taught me how to manage many often disparate puzzle pieces to achieve a goal.After almost a decade in this industry I decided it was time to take my knowledge and experience to a new arena, and to something I was more passionate about. Drones were just coming on the market, and a friend and I decided to start an aerial photography & videography business. We did this for a couple of years and it naturally began to develop into a little bit more of a production company. Rather than focusing strictly on drone work, we began to focus more on brand storytelling and content more tailor-made to achieve the goals of each client we worked with.My partner and I had different ideas on where to take the business, so we decided to amicably part ways. I wished him good luck, and set off to open Leading Edge Media (a nod to my love of aviation and professional beginnings with drones). I opened this business in 2017, and have been helping clients meet their goals utilizing video (and photography and drones of course) since then! I love what I do, love being of value to others, and strive to get better on a daily basis as there's always so much to learn within the industries that I operate and serve.I'd love to know how I can help you achieve your goals!
