I am a highly motivated professional with a proven record in decision making under pressure. My advanced communication skills allow me to effectively lead and influence teams of varying size and experience with a demonstrated ability to identify and resolve strategic issues.I joined the NSW Police Force in 2002, where I spent the majority of time as a front line first responder. During this period I also began my journey towards the world of elite level sport as a match official in the National Rugby League.In late 2008 I took on a career change purchasing the popular beach side cafe 'The Globe' in Coogee, to allow, me to focus on my NRL dream. This brought about a significant amount of personal growth, allowing me to build on my communication and leadership skills as well as giving me a real community focus.In 2012 I decided to return to my passion and resume my career in the NSW Police Force where in 2017 I attained the rank of Sergeant. During my return I have had the privilege to work on projects that have had significant impact in the mental health space. These projects allowed me to work alongside organisations such as 'Black Dog' and 'Lifeline' aswell as various stakeholders in local government, health and the community. My recent policing career at the Forensic Evidence and Technical Services Command has broadened my knowledge in the policing space, and provided opportunity to enhance my skills in human resources along with internal and external stakeholders engagement. This opportunity has provided me with exposure to high level, complex and strategic issues within the organisation, allowing me to demonstrate my ability to provide advice and guidance to senior management whilst delivering results. I achieved my dream of officiating at the Elite Level of the NRL in 2014 and have been a proud member of the squad ever since, performing the role of both central referee and touch judge. In 2017 I was fortunate enough to be a member of the world cup squad, and more recently officiated as a touch judge in the 2021 preliminary final.My career in the NRL has given me the unique opportunity to continually build and practice my decision making, leadership, and communication skills under extreme scrutiny and pressure on a weekly basis. Not many occupations give you the opportunity to perform at that intensity and be analysed, and assessed on a weekly basis which has given me a high level of resilience and courage.My experiences to date in my working life have positioned me to be a valuable contributing member to any team in any environment.
