Markbygden Windfarm (Europe’S Largest Onshore Farm)

Working for GE turbines at a capacity of 3.6mw. Fault finding, rectifying any faults and obtaining maintenance on turbines that need serviced e.g oil changes, changing oil filters and inspections etc. Working in teams with the knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic/torque systems. Working in a safe manner as a standard of practice that is expected of myself. Following and understanding the procedures of WDIs on retrofit campaigns. Generator bearing replacement, gearbox oil filter change, main grease refills, pitch issues/faults, gearbox oil pressure faults, installing gearbox oil pump motors and inspections.Developing a good understanding of how to rectify problems and perform tasks on the GE 3.6mw turbines.Following all safety guidelines, adhering to safety protocols, and following isolation lotto procedures to promote a safe workplace within the industry.

Greece – Ge 3.2, 3.6

Installing a new site (Pournari Greece).Heavy lift tower sections.Installing and fitting HUB and blades on GE.Assisting grid link up with all 9 turbines.

Turkey Konya – Blade Exchange

Working within a team of four assisting were needed.Preparing (torquing bolts off) damaged blades to be removed across the full site. Attaching blades onto the turbine after repair across the full site.Following all health and safety procedures and completing all relevant paperwork and safety reports.Supporting in all elements of health, safety, security and environmental aspect for the organisation.Excellent communication skills at all levels while remaining dedicated to ensuring and understanding the company requirements and procedures. Consistently focused on product and process quality, continually trying to improve method.Implementing and supporting effective working practices and systems as required to continuously improve work scope delivery. Ensuring quality assurance of all work scopes are maintained, and all work is performed in accordance with company policies and the Health and Safety at work act.

Portsmouth Hm Naval Base

Using mechanical knowledge for preparing and servicing aircraft carriers and warships based in Portsmouth England. Working at the United Kingdom’s military of defence with a strict and high standard of safety whilst performing complex engineering tasks on naval ships, submarines and aircraft carriers which included The Queen Elizabeth and The Prince of Wales. Mechanical bolting and torquing. Mechanical preparation for blasting (UHP), painting and servicing any faults, having the ability to follow technical specifications for pumps, compressors and spot metal repair.

Scotland, United Kingdom

Maintaining and fault finding on all make of turbines listed above.Yaw motor exchange and pitch master battery exchange.Maintaining various site in the highlands.Resolving general turbine faults and keeping sites running daily.Generator alignment on 36 turbines across the Millennium site.

Blade replacement on Vestas Turbines across the UK.Gearbox exchange on Vestas and Senvion Turbines.Maintenance and fault finding on all make of turbines listed above.Yaw motor exchange on Vestas Turbines.

Blade maintenance, service and repair for Robur Rodopi.Work scope included electrical and mechanical service of GE 3.6mw wind turbine generators and any repairs as requested by the client.EMS retrofit of heated ventilations ducts inside the 67 metre blades during phase 1 operation at Europe’s biggest onshore wind farm, Markbygden, Pitea, Sweden.Working flexibly to accommodate the changing needs of the business; working long hours and taking on additional responsibility.Ensuring quality assurance of all work scopes are maintained, and all work is performed in accordance with company policies and the Health and Safety at work act.Completing all activities in a timely accurate and efficient manner in accordance with procedures and work instructions. Responsible for undertaking work on various windfarms across the North-West East including EDF Langley Park and EON 3Hs Wind farm.Repairing various damages to each turbine following lightning strikes, cracks to interior and exterior blades, and any other leading-edge damages in line with specifications and standards.Reporting on completion of work done, photographing damages.Ensuring all asset records are fully complete and certified in line with company requirements.
