I have led The British Psychological Society's magazine The Psychologist through more than two decades of change. Alongside a constantly evolving print edition reaching more than 50,000 members per month, I have built an extensive website and other digital platforms with a significant international reach. I have pioneered for the Society in terms of blogs, apps, social media, a podcast, a live presence and much more. I manage a team and a significant budget, while controlling costs through a community-based commissioning approach.Alongside the editorial role – the sourcing, editing and presentation of a vast amount of content, in print and online – I have increasingly taken on a 'thought leadership' role, for example in designing and hosting live events and webinars. Decades of experience have given me a combination of breadth and depth of knowledge in the world of Psychology, embedded and respected within a community, that I believe is unrivalled in the UK.I was 'Highly commended' in the 'Editor of the Year' category at the Memcom Excellence Awards 2023.I am a highly skilled and experienced editor, writer and communicator; in print, online and in social media, and live. I also have technical and creative skills across desktop publishing packages.I am a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
