As part of our security awareness training program, I publish a monthly cybersecurity newsletter incorporating recent phishing attacks that has helped decrease phishing failure rates. By creating Splunk dashboards for BitLocker, AppLocker, and Windows Defender, that leveraged PowerShell, I enhanced endpoint visibility by gathering, reporting, and alerting on endpoint telemetry.Cybersecurity responsibilities include compliance assessments against the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, the operation of a SIEM, identity and access management, mitigating the results of vulnerability scans, and overseeing yearly pen tests. Championing network security I implemented network segmentation using network and host-based firewalls, enforced RADIUS-based wired and wireless security, and secured remote server access using IPSEC firewall rules and privileged access jump hosts.
