This is Metadata collection project for AECOM. We are surveying all of LA County's Buildings for mechanical, plumbing, electrical and architectural issues for the LA County Deferred Maintenance program. We are compiling an accurate list of all of the building's current conditions.

Seeking a new position.

As AAA Solar’s Design Manager, I was responsible for building the CADD and Design departments from the ground up. Using the CBC, CEC, BICSI standards as well as LAUSD print standardization formats.we built general installation details on all prints, Built the general SOW for all designs submitted to the customer. we also built the lay out of the logical network diagram (LND) sheet. Supervised the designing of the cable charts, fiber charts & the wireless access point charts.We built the electrical sheets now being submitted to LAUSD for close out documents.As Design Manager It also included collecting all structural information in the field on every site that required the mounting of wall or floor mounted cabinets as well as the repair of any existing cabinet that was to remain in place. With this information I worked with the structural engineer to build structural engineer details for our prints. I also put together the Bill of Materials (BOM) to be used throughout all of the packages.Supervising Project Engineer, I built a solid and experienced design team of former LAUSD personnel as well as experienced designers from firms that have done design work for LAUSD ITD PMO in years past. Under my supervision I had as many as 12 designers at the beginning of the projects. As part of the Supervising Project Engineer job I helped each designer understand LAUSD specifications for each project, whether it was RFP 1082 or 1090 Pkg-1, 2, 3 & 4. Not each package had the same specifications. As well as all industry standards, (BICSI, IEEE, EIA/TIA). Supervising Project Engineer, other responsibilities included scheduling for signature walks with LAUSD, Completing Bid SOWs, Bid BOMs, finalizing final sets of prints for Bids to LAUSD. Fire alarm, Electrical engineer, VoIP PA systems & Speakers system.

Project Manager: responsibilities: supervising surveys of 26 schools for San Bernardino City Unified Schools District (SBCUSD). The surveys were conducted to provide the District with information in order to evaluate if the sites met the districts E-Rate specifications, State, City and local codes as well as Industry Standards and Federal Funding requirements from the SLD. Responsibilities included reviewing billing manifests, equipment installations, pathway installations, cabling installations and the supplied test results for copper and fiber cable links. Efforts provided potentially saved SBCUSD $2,000,000.00 in over billing, supplied detailed individual reports of each sites installation practices, thus exposing code and fire safety violations. The reports also provided the district’s Maintenance and Operations department information to repair certain areas and make them safe for staff and students.

Field Construction/Project Manager for AT&T, managing the installation of Refresh to Local Area Networks (LAN) as well as the installation of new Wireless Access Points for the Los Angeles Unified School District’s E-107 and E-108a projects. Inclusive, but not limited to construction drawings, physical layout, schematics, engineering calculations, power and lighting drawings, fire alarm system, telephone systems, instrumentation and control drawings, lightning protection, estimating, equipment specifications, telecommunication/LAN systems and supervision of design personnel. Responsibilities entail project management, preparation of bid packages, change orders, RFCs, scheduling of projects, cost control using Expedition, coordination with A/E firms, contractors and LAUSD departments, resolution of technical issues, quality assurance of Internet systems, power distribution system, PA systems, and security systems. Additional duties and responsibilities include, managing school sites to LAUSD’s Specifications, EIA/TIA, California Building Codes, Local Codes and Standards, NEC, and BICSI standards. Integral part of the AT&T design team. Assist the AT&T designers in doing the actual design drawings as well as being an active participant on the scheduled campus design walks with LAUSD’s district personnel. Drafted and sent RFC’s to LAUSD ITD PMO, while managing 7 constructions sites simultaneously. Manage red line reviews and responsible for implementing JOC (Job Order Contracts)

Project Manager for Information Systems Support / CACI in charge of the Media Converter Fan Warranty Replacement Program on behalf of SBC for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Responsibilities included scheduling of the crews at the various school locations where specific repairs were to be performed. Maintained and tracked the shipping and receiving of supplies and materials, kept an accurate and updated spreadsheet of the progress being made. Maintained open lines of communication with LAUSD ITD personnel and prior to dispatching the campus warranty crews notified the district’s main point of contact for scheduling. Inspected and repaired MILAN 9100 media converters sent to the school site for warranty replacement.

Senior Project Manager for Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Information Technology Division (ITD) (PMO). Performed design review on LAUSD Year 6 E rate project. Reviewed and analyzed final prints. Held meetings with the District installation and support vendors to resolve conflicts in the interpretation of these local codes and standards and specifications. The RFC’s (Requests for Clarification) were District-Developed. Performed the final Quality Assurance Inspections on the school site locations and completed the final closeout documentation.

Senior Network Engineer & Project Manager supported the LAUSD ITD Strategic Planning Office and FTPMG Office in multiple areas. Supervised and managed 25 network engineers performing daily inspections of new local area networks (LANs), public announcement (PA) systems, autonomous PA systems, and intrusion systems at more than 400 schools. Performed and managed the performance of final inspection of individual campus complete telecommunications systems. Reviewed and analyzed final prints, fiber and copper cabling test results, and installation-team-prepared closeout documents. Made a thorough and comprehensive industry analysis and educated myself on LAUSD’s specifications and local codes and standards for District-developed Requests for Clarification. Advised and educated the installation and support vendors on how to successfully complete the specific requirements, standards and specifications set by LAUSD. Developed the documentation used for the closeout review standards, for LAUSD on the Year 6 E-Rate Program and Technology projects. Within the first 18 months of developing the Network department within FTPMG, LAUSD saved over $4,000,000 in frivolous lawsuits and unwarranted change orders. Extremely proficient in data, voice, and fiber-optic cable installation and termination, including multiple fiber optic splicing and test gear setups for single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cabling. Set up special training in how to fully compile and submit a closeout package that would be acceptable to LAUSD Vault and ITD for LAUSD’s eight local Districts OARs working on Safety and Technology projects. Designed and built a trouble closeout team that handled sites, which had remained incomplete for 4 months or longer due to remaining deficiencies or missing closeout documents. Built a team to find and resolve open items to bring closure to old Safety and Technology sites.

Senior Network Manager LAUSD Year 3 E-Rate supported the LAUSD ITD Strategic Planning Office and E-Rate Project Office in multiple areas. Supervised and managed up to 40 network engineers performing daily quality assurance inspections of more than 400 schools having new fiber optic networks being installed. Performed and managed the performance of final inspection of individual campus fiber optic network installations. Reviewed and analyzed final prints, copper and fiber cabling test results, and installation team-prepared closeout documents. Interpreted/TIA, IEEE, NEC, and BICSI standards, as well as District specifications and local codes and standards for District-developed Requests for Clarification. Held regularly scheduled meetings with installation and support vendors; in order to proactively resolve any issues and/or conflicts pertaining to the set mandated standards and specifications. Extremely proficient in data, voice, and fiber-optic cable installation and termination, including multiple fiber optic splicing and test gear setups for single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cabling.

Operations Manager provided senior design, estimation and project management. Worked on many Grades and Refresh projects, managed LAN infrastructure, installation and upgrade teams for various Southern California School Districts and University Systems (Anaheim USD, Garden Grove USD, Irvine USD, Pomona USD, Perris USD, Placentia USD, Poway USD, Santa Ana USD, San Diego USD, Whittier USD, Yorba Linda USD, and Biola University) including air-blown fiber and copper cabling installations with owner-supplied equipment and systems. Responsible for all project bid estimation proposals. Responsible for overall project quality control and served as the management representative for mediation and negotiation with union representatives (CWA).

Project Manager/Operations Manager provided senior project management and project design and estimation. Managed multiple LAN installation project teams within various Southern California School District Regions, (Blythe USD, Elsinore USD, Temecula USD, Norco/Corona USD, Irvine USD, Palms Springs USD, Moreno Valley USD, and Hemet USD) requiring heavy design and installation involvement for early E-Rate projects within the Riverside County Unified Schools Districts. Trained technicians on all aspects of standards-based installation and managed 12 crew chiefs and 45 installers of varying skill levels.

Superintendent, maintained construction schedule and supervised subcontractors for this general construction contractor. Oversaw construction costs and reviewed change orders for approval.

Lead Telecommunications Technician, interactively supervised a team of installation technicians of varying skill levels from the Systems Support Group in the installation, repair, and maintenance of various makes and models of telephone switches and Digital Equipment Corporation data networking equipment, as well as Category 3, 4, and 5 copper cabling and fiber optic cabling installations. Assigned and maintained a company vehicle, with a full service inventory of parts, equipment, and special tools.
