I have an enthusiasm for the technology - and sharing that with colleagues and customers is what fires me up!Specialities: Imaging hardware and software, optics, illumination and technical insight to vision applications. Quite by accident I've managed to get my career to look like it was all planned from the beginning:o Astrophysics was my introduction to imaging - cooled scientific cameras, image processing on the scantest of data. One of the first I did was measuring binary stars.o Medical image analysis brought me deep into image processing and algorithm creation.o Industrial vision integration brought me the practical skills to put vision in an industrial context and gave me the opportunity to show the enthusiasm to customers.o Vision supply added to that: understanding the customer needs while seeing the whole range of vision possibilities.jon.vickers@balluff.co.uk
