Primary contact for supported employment focus areas aimed at improved employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities - through events, public awareness, research, outreach, training, and education at University of South Dakota Center for Disabilities at the Sanford School of Medicine; Surveyor for National Core Indicators project; primary duties consist of interviewing/surveying two populations (Developmental Disabilities & Aging with Disabilities) with standardized survey questions that inquire about service satisfaction, quality of life and service needs.NCI Specialist:Conduct quality assurance and outcome assessment surveys developed by the Human Services Research Institute as part of National Core Indicators project with respect to services received by various populations: individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities as well as aging individuals with physical disabilities and/or chronic health conditions

Provide integrated employment support services to a variety of people with disabilities (assist individuals to obtain community jobs, job coach on the job, facilitate & communicate with employer supervisors/coworkers, market LifeScape employment services program in the community.Built connections with community leaders and businesses to strengthen a base of support for individuals at LifeScape seeking employment. Together with the job seeker, we formulated a plan to land their ideal job. Focus was kept on long term employment and finding a career that allowed the individual to fulfill their goal of community employment.

Fundamentals of Public Speaking - Introducing fundamental principles to help students determine how best to communicate information through considerations such as organizational structure, speech preparation, audience analysis and effective listening- Assessing student performance though personal attitude, informative, indictment and propositional speeches delivered for peers and instructor

Responsibilities:• Aid in the data analysis of community surveys, census data, & community meetings to inform policy in a Brookings County Comprehensive Land-use Plan update• Work with GIS software in updating the Brookings County Land Use map• Answer phone calls, direct patrons to appropriate resources• Report to supervisor for any other tasks as needed
