I oversaw the development of the entire business plan and Go-to-Market strategy, assisted in raising funding, oversaw the buildout and equipment acquisitions, developed and oversaw all operations, and developed and executed all marketing initiatives.

SimpleDL is a web-based digital library and institutional repository platform used by libraries across the country. I revived the business by repositioning the value proposition to more closely align with the needs of our market segments. I also designed and implemented various demand generation campaigns, created new sales enablement materials, and updated all digital marketing content. Sold the business in March of 2016!

Assisted in the development of an entrepreneurial ecosystem within Northern Utah by creating and teaching multiple courses on lean startup principles and the Business Model Canvas.

A SaaS company that provided web and mobile-enhanced software to events to assist sales teams in generating and converting leads. We serviced trade shows and industry conventions throughout the United States. I directed the development of the product based on lean development principles. I also developed and implemented the Go-to-Market strategy; led the sales and marketing efforts; developed sales-enablement materials including training videos, digital content, and web-based presentations; and serviced all customer needs.

A web-based investment platform offering innovative tools to both retail and institutional investors. I led the development of sales enablement materials, customer-facing training modules, and demand generation programs. I worked with cross-functional teams to fully understand and service the needs of both customers and sales staff alike. I also led the exploration and implementation of partnerships with 3rd party corporations and academic institutions.

I co-founded Xeromax Sciences during my MBA program at BYU. Xeromax provided innovative water-proofing solutions for application on fabric and textile substrates. In the process we raised over $500K in new venture financing, filed one new patent application and two provisional patents. I managed the R&D effort around our technology and played a key role in new business development.

I managed a team of over 20 MBA students in planning, organizing, and running the year long event. Responsibilities included assigning roles and delegating responsibility as needed; creating and maintaining budgets; eliciting voluntary efforts from venture capitalists, angel investors, and entrepreneurs; raising over $100K in cash and services for top contending teams; overseeing and directing all marketing efforts; overseeing and planning 11 major events; planning and leading weekly leadership meetings; and working to ensure that the goals of the organization were met within all time lines and budgetary constraints.

Worked with the Business Analysis & Reporting group and studied the regulatory requirements of 9 different European countries and the United States for the introduction of Biofuels in gasoline and diesel production. Worked toward building a protocol for reporting fines and credits associated with the regulations on the company financial reports.

Long-term Investment advisor to over 500 clients spread throughout 6 separate Zions Bank branches. Primary responsibilities included advising clients on their investment portfolios and soliciting new account relationships. Required NASD series 7 and 63 securities licenses as well as Utah Life Insurance sales certification.
