With over 13 years of experience in public education and a background in math, I’ve developed a passion for helping students who face significant challenges both inside and outside the classroom.In my role, I create a structured and supportive environment where students receive personalized academic guidance, counseling, and behavioral interventions. I work closely with teachers, families, and staff to take a collaborative approach that ensures each student’s individual needs are met. My goal is to help students overcome obstacles like absenteeism, behavioral issues, and academic difficulties by providing the resources and support they need to succeed.I’m also focused on fostering community and personal growth within the program. I organize experiential learning opportunities, such as field trips to vocational training centers, where students can explore potential career paths and gain practical skills. I also take pride in recognizing students’ achievements through initiatives like the Compass Achievement Award, helping them feel valued and motivated as they work toward their goals.My role involves not only working with students but also building strong relationships with their families, school staff, and external partners. By acting as a liaison and advocate, I ensure students have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
