Manage and participate in various system engineering tasks as well as nuclear hardness and survivability activities related to the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD).

Develop and maintain computer codes used for nuclear fuel licensing and design calculations. Specialize on the RODEX4, REMACX and XEDOR computer codes for steady state and transient fuel performance predictions. Also work with the fuel reliability group in performing Fuel Assembly inspections at power plants. Responsible for the development and modifications of models using Fortran77, Fortran90 as well as later fortran version, and Python as well as C and C++ models with STL and Boost libraries.

Worked between the Nuclear Fuel Performance and Analysis (NFPA) group and the Space Nuclear Systems and Technologies (SNST) group. Within the SNST group I led the development of Tungsten-UO2 fuel for ultra high temperature fast reactor applications using Hot Isostatic Pressing and Spark Plasma Sintering technologies. Worked with the Sandia National Laboratory and Las Alamos National Laboratory in the development, validation and verification of MATLAB and Fortran codes to support the Fission Surface Power program.While working with the NFPA group I was assigned to the TREAT reactor fuel conversion project, where I was responsible for the development of Monte-Carlo models in MCNP and proprietary models in Fortran to predict reactor behavior in contemporary highly enriched configurations and low enrichment configurations.

Assigned to the 7th Space Operations Squadron (7SOPS) . Acted as an operator for the GPS satellite system and aided in the development of the Multi-Mission Satellite Operations Center (MMSOC) in support of Operationally Responsive Space (ORS) programs.

Taught Monte Carlo methods for the University of Idaho with an emphasis on coding neutron transport methodologies including analog problems, variance reduction, PDF and CDF development for reactor parameters and Monte Carlo acceleration techniques of relevance to the nuclear industry. Also taught a short course on programming with Fortran90

Served on active duty as an officer in the United States Army. First assigned to the officer basic course and the PATRIOT missile systems weapons track course at Ft. Bliss, TX in 2002. Following the basic course was forward deployed as a Fire Control Platoon Leader in the Republic of South Korea with C Battery, 1st Battalion, 43rd Air Defense Artillery. While assigned C/1-43 ADA, served as the Battery master trainer and was responsible for the welfare of 23 soldiers and over $40 million worth of air defense equipment and missile technology. My final assignment was with the 100th Missile Defense Brigade, Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Strategic Command in Colorado Springs, CO. While assigned to SMDC/ARSTRAT I served as a deputy director for a Fire Direction Center crew on the Ground Based Midcourse Missile Defense System in Ft. Greedy, AK and as a Current Operations Officer at the Missile Defense Element in Colorado Springs. I was also the Anti-terrorism Force Protection Officer for the Brigade, responsible for the security and training of security forces at GMD sites in Colorado, California and Alaska.While on active duty I was the recipient of the basic parachutist badge, the Air Force space operator badge, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defesne Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon
