* Review and revise SOPs/protocols* Review routine quality control tests on incoming, intermediate and outgoing materials according to established QC Test procedure which include technique like PCR, RT-PCR, Hybridization, DNA extraction, Bacteria culture growth, Aseptic technique, etc.* Provide supervision, training, evaluation, certification and development of the Quality Control Team on QC SOPs/protocols/work instructions.* Ensure proper resourcing of Quality Control department including equipment and personnel.* Perform design and/or technology transfer & provide necessary training to QC personnel* Compile and review reports, test data/results* Review and releasing of raw materials/in-coming/in process/finished products* Perform investigation and documentation of non-compliance or out-of-spec situations regarding any analytical test* Support QA/Manufacturing/R&D on ad hoc projects* Execute design change control/qualification/validation/re-certification of SOPs/protocols/equipment* Summarize and report laboratory performance metrics

Microbiologist* Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products samples to ensure products are safe for release to the market.* Perform environmental monitoring (air sampling and swabbing of established monitoring points) as well as water sampling and testing* Perform pathogenic bacterial screening and identification of test isolates via API/Vitek/Riboprinter systems* Ensure optimum performance of laboratory via supporting activities such as housekeeping, lab supplies, media preparation, calibration & maintenance of equipment/instruments* Execute qualification/validation/re-certification of equipment/method* Review SOPs and protocols.* Perform investigation and documentation of non-compliance or out-of-spec situations regarding any analytical test* Assist in providing training to new staff.* Review and releasing of raw materials/finished products.

* Responsible to be an effective team member in providing analytical laboratory service to support production activities* Perform laboratory microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products samples* Perform environmental monitoring, conduct water sampling and testing, pathogenic bacteria screening and identification of test isolates* Ensure optimum performance of laboratory via supporting activities such as housekeeping, lab supplies, calibration & maintenance, as well as execute qualification / validation of equipment / method* Perform investigation and documentation of non-compliance or out-of-spec situations regarding any analytical test

• Ensure overall functioning and/or maintenance of several labs.• Supervision of students during laboratory sessions and providing technical hands-on demonstration of various lab skills.• Trial run on new experiments to be implemented into teaching modules.• Training of new staff in Microbiology aspects.• Purchasing of lab consumables and/or materials.

• Assist the Head of Laboratory in surveys and in-house research, as well as collaborative studies and research• Routine testing of pharmaceutical products which include bioassay of antibiotics potency, sterility testing, LAL endotoxin testing, microbial limit testing, environmental monitoring, etc in accordance to the USP and/or BP• Assist the Medical Technologist in training new staff and provide supervision of the laboratory attendants• Provide assistance in stock control, quality control of culture media and reagents, maintenance and calibration of equipment and compiling of monthly statistics
