RunBuggy is a technology platform that connects car shippers and haulers. RunBuggy allows shippers to seamlessly connect with their existing management systems to integrate car transportation services, reducing cost and improving time to deliver. The Runbuggy platform is built using java spring boot microservices with tools like vuejs for web support, and docker, kubernetes, helm, mocha/node and codefresh for CI/CD.- Worked with a small team to build out and deploy the company’s new winton platform, a more flexible and stable platform to support the company’s constantly growing customer base- Developed several pricing and promotion features including backend services and configuration management UIs in vuejs- Generated a library of node support scripts to facilitate the migration between the old and new platform

Discovery GO is a software platform that delivers video content to desktop, IOS (including AppleTV), android (including chromecast), and Roku hardware platforms for all Discovery Communications properties including Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery, Science Channel, Velocity, Destination America, American Heroes Channel and Discovery Life. Deployed initially as an aggregate experience across all channels available to the subscriber, it was later split into distinct apps per channel. The reusable json based services platform is built on a mix of PHP/Laravel, python, and golang, is supported by amazon services like SQS and ubuntu images, and data storage including mariaDB and mongoDB. Internal UIs are written in angularJS.- Worked with a small team of developers to accomplish an initial launch across desktop, IOS, and android simultaneously in only a few months.- Developed a dashboard UI and backend services (flask) to deliver metrics breakdowns, time series graphing, trends, and forecasts by analyzing dimensions (likes, follows, views, shares, etc) across social media platforms (facebook, youtube, twitter, instagram) to show impact of discovery and other internal properties over and against timelines.- Co-Developed the chromecast (javascript based) client for the platform, which included an integration with freewheel ad management and later Verizon based ad stitching. - Developed configuration services apis and a management UI which drives the initial HATEAOS restful navigation for all clients and adds server based configuration for clients, all of which can channel/app specific.- Developed auditing services that allow for introspection into the upstream publishing and editing process of media assets by tracking message processing and consumption.- Prototyped next generation dashboard services using golang, cassandra, and influxdb

Content becomes available in real time alongside the linear release. The platform currently supports millions of users and is poised to dramatically increase its’ subscriber base with a direct to consumer offering in 2015.* Part of the team to design and develop the next generation catalog and profile services for hbogo on AWS, using express, node.js, mongo, and dynamodb, while utilizing agile software development process, grunt, github, jenkins, and youtrack.* Part of the server team to move hbogo from a desktop only solution to platforms like IOS, Android, Roku, Samsung, XBOX,Playstation, Chrome cast, and Apple TV.* Designed and implemented cross device resume playback and recently watched functionality, the most heavily trafficked functionality on the platform, using cassandra as a noSQL solution.* Designed and implemented the next generation java services adhering to a more classic restful design, aspect based security (Oauth 1.0a) and error handling, while migrating data management from Oracle to Cassandra, with Hadoop jobs for data maintenance.* Built a pure html based next gen prototype which served the entire HBO catalog out of a Lucene based in memory datastore with dynamic restful queries served on Jboss/tomcat/jetty* Redesigned and implemented the affiliate (cable provider) integration (SSO) code and process, cutting implementation times down often from several months to 1-2 weeks.
