I am a passionate student pursuing a B.A. in Public and Urban Affairs majoring in Smart and Sustainable Cities and minoring in Professional and Technical Writing graduating in May 2024 from Virginia Tech. With this degree, I am dedicated to shaping sustainable urban futures and fostering community engagement. As the Student General Manager at Virginia Tech Dining Services, I've led and mentored team of 70 students to consistent success, while implementing innovative strategies such as a professional development system and streamlined communication templates.Interning at the Nevada Northern Railway Museum offered invaluable insights into historical preservation and community outreach. From meticulously cataloging archival materials to spearheading an oral history program, I've learned a lot about what makes a community tick and how to maintain its vibrancy. Additionally, my role involved grant applications and passenger railroad operations, both of which are invaluable skills that help me attain my professional goals.Driven by a passion for sustainable development and community empowerment, I aspire to leverage my interdisciplinary background to contribute meaningfully to urban planning initiatives and sustainable development projects.
