I am a highly motivated Biomedical Engineer who is ready to take the next steps in my career. I recently graduated with honors from the University of North Texas in may of 2024. In my senior year, I took the role as lead engineer for my capstone project. The project task was to make a fully portable and wireless surface electromyography device that would be used for an interactive physical therapy game system. For this project, I designed a custom PCB and did all of the electronic design work, as well as all of the CAD modeling for the device housing and attachment. My project was awarded first place for the best design and presentation, and I was recognized for this achievement. Additionally, my design is currently patent pending. From this, I gained extensive experience with electronic design, and the full product design process. In addition to my academic experiences, I have worked in a professional engineering environment for over a year, with my employment as an R&D Engineer at Epimed International. In this role, I have taken on projects fully unsupervised and I have delivered numerous designs that have benefited the manufacturing systems at Epimed. My main project was designing a universal powder coating system to rapidly coat needles for mass production. For this project, I did all of the CAD designs and also created formal machinist drawings. I fabricated a fully functional prototype using a Bridgeport knee mill to make custom aluminum and steel parts. I created professional technical documentation and a full bill of materials so the design could be implemented at the company's manufacturing facilities. Additionally, I worked with surgeons to design experimental surgical tools to meet their specific needs. From this job, I have gained numerous skills, such as formal drafting and documentation, technical writing, communication skills, machining, welding, laser welding, powder coating, 3D printing, mechanical design, stress and tensile simulations, ect. Overall, I am a highly motivated engineer that works very well in a fast paced environment. I am a quick learner who can pick skills up very quickly with minimal time or training. I am very personable and work well with others. I hope to continue developing my skill set as an engineer so I can make a positive impact on the world!
