I am an Advanced Science graduate from Macquarie University, Sydney with real-world experience in Python, HTML/CSS, SQL and JavaScript, and am currently self-teaching C, C++ and Java. I started my studies as a physics student, but over time, my drive to attain new skills and follow passions wherever they lead has taken me down the path of software development instead. In the past few years I've taken on a wide array of roles—debater, data analyst, amateur patissier—and come away from it with the flexibility and resilience to adapt to any situation, learn on the job and thrive in the position.At XLConnect I have:- Built 10+ products that help accountants at multinational firms connect their cloud accounting solutions to Excel.- Refactored a legacy JavaScript codebase to improve its reusability, performance and functionality.- Documented internal development and customer support processes to help onboard new support staff and developers.In my current role, my responsibilities include:- Designing, testing and developing Excel financial data analysis tools.- Working with clients to solve technical products and create bespoke models.- Maintaining a Confluence knowledge base to speed up ticket turnaround times.
