Incautiously optimistic UX and product generalist interested in shipping products that enable elegant user experiences powered by superior digital tools. I work across teams and disciplines to design durable, mission-driven, and user-focused systems that solve gnarly problems.I studied English at the State University of New York at Buffalo and earned a degree in environmental studies at the University of Vermont before enrolling at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in my twenties. My career has included roles in editorial research, magazine and book publishing, graphic design, delivering newspapers by bicycle, serving espresso, teaching history in prison, and playing CBGB in a band led by a drag queen from Muscle Shoals, Alabama. When I’m not working, I’m a formerly-serious musician and frequent trail walker. My family and I spend a lot of time outdoors in New England and Upstate New York, where I grew up. Someday I’ll finish finishing the basement.
