As the founder of Web Courseworks, a company that specialized in creating and managing advanced software programs for electronic education from 1999-2022, I oversaw a range of services including Learning Management System deployment and management on a SaaS basis, systematic development of large-scale online curricula, and sophisticated support services that included LMS administration and tier one and two support. In December of 2022, Web Courseworks merged with Forj.ai At Web Courseworks, I was passionate about exploring how people learn using the internet and this informed the company culture in two ways. Firstly, I was dedicated to identifying and utilizing the unique pedagogical opportunities inherent in new delivery and course technology. This led to the creation of highly interactive programs that allowed users to learn by doing, while also enabling them to sort rapidly through complex processes and large sets of information. Secondly, I was committed to utilizing project management methods that fostered collaboration and knowledge sharing between eLearning developers. By creating a culture of micro-collaboration and emphasizing the value of learning from one another, we were able to create exceptionally high-quality eLearning products that met our clients' business goals.My background in eLearning development and project management is supported by my doctoral research, which focused on the ways in which eLearning development teams can work together more effectively. This research resulted in the publication of my book MindMeld: Micro-Collaboration between eLearning Designers and Instructor Experts, which outlines the five factors, both theoretical and practical, that contribute to creating and managing exemplary eLearning tools. In 2019, I co-authored The Expert's Halo, which explored how communities of practice can leverage member expertise to build educational products. Overall, my experience and expertise position me as a thought leader in the eLearning industry.
