Ibsen Photonics is well known for their high quality spectrometers, which are used in different systems and devices for the analysis of food, for medical applications and for scientific purposes.Ibsen Photonics has been an ideal platform that shaped my knowledge in developing marketing strategies for global business markets. During my internship I have participated in the Spectroscopy Fair in Tokyo, Japan together with the company’s Japanese distributors where I collected my primary data for my final bachelors thesis. My thesis is a collaborative project with Ibsen Photonics, which is about developing the sales and marketing strategy of Ibsen Photonics’ in order to build a stronger spectrometer business in Japan.My main task was to support the sales and marketing department, responsible for the international operation of Ibsen Photonics’ spectrometer business. This beach front hotel, located at the white sand beach of Boracay island, Philippines, was renovated in 2014 to its modern style and is currently known as Villa Caemilla Beach Boutique Hotel. It was my responsibility that efficient customer service and a friendly and professional atmosphere is delivered to all guests at all times. I was in charge of training and supervising the front desk staff, updating reports, coordinating with travel agents and managing the efficiency of the room reservations. In addition to this, one of my major tasks is resolving customer complaints and dealing with requests made by guests during their stay.
