• Migrated Progress OpenEdge tables to MySQL by modifying an existing Progress migration tool. • Became proficient in Progress (DSL for Progress OpenEdge databases) in order to update the code to better convert the datatypes, remove the excess functions that were counterproductive to the task, add several datatypes that were missing, and add functionality to fix formatting issues with column names and entities• Utilized this new program and new table guidelines to migrate 15 tables with tens of thousands of rows, updating the tables to use more concise column names and removed out-of-date columns• Employed the MySQL Workbench to update 50 column names, add 10 new column names and updated the rows for the system preferences table which allowed for easier searching and more understandable error logging preferences• Ported all functional code for the new database from Progress to Java and add the new SQL queries • Utilized CSS, JavaScript and Progress to update 75+ web pages for the new gateway style and format, and to remain 508 compliant• Assisted to create 10 aspect functions to allow for future developers to use these functions for common functionality in the microservices, this included decryption and encryption, notification functions, and logging functions• Converted a set of internal functions from Progress into a single microservice in Java• Assisted training new interns on the Concur system and helped them understand their role within the company
