Currently working with the Clean Electricity Project Pre-Development (CEPP) team. My current focus is collaborating with Central Agencies to advance regional electrification and intertie projects across the country, in order to achieve a Net-Zero grid and meet upcoming federal climate targets in 2030 and 2045. Specific duties include preparing briefing materials for senior management on projects such as the Atlantic Loop, analyzing financial and energy data to prepare reports on provincial energy import and export opportunities, and engaging with utilities and other levels of government to maximize the impact and utilization of federal grant & contributions programs with proponent needs.

Worked in the Policy Analyst Recruitment and Development Program (PARDP) at Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN). PARDP is an accelerated, two-year track for policy analysts that offers working experience across different departmental sectors such as forestry, energy and mining, weekly tutoring in French, and a career mentor from senior management. For my first rotation, I worked with the Petroleum Resources Branch inside the Canadian Oil, Refining and Energy Security Division (CORE). Project files included briefing notes, modelling and analysis on areas such as the Alberta Oil sands, Bill C-48's impacts on Canadian oil and gas, and the Federal Carbon Backstop's impact on oil and gas competitiveness. A high level of communication and project management with provincial and municipal levels of government, industry and NGO's was integral to CORE's major files.For my second rotation, I worked with the Cyber and Energy Security Policy and Outreach (CESPO) team inside the Electricity Resources Branch (ERB). Subjects included an industry threat briefing program, bilateral cybersecurity regulations with partners such as the United States, tabletop exercises with industry and government partners to simulate cyber incidents and attacks, and an external Grants and Contributions programs for cybersecurity R&D (CCEIP). I have also worked with the Nuclear Energy Division (NED) for a one year period after the completion of PARDP in 2020, where I contributed to advancing the Canadian nuclear energy sector in a variety of different fields, such as collaboration with industry on Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), participation in international and industry forums such as the International Framework for Nuclear Energy Co-Operation (IFNEC), and organizing briefing materials for senior management to facilitate timely decision making.

Worked in the CFS Economic Analysis Division, using quantitative and qualitative trade statistics to create a risk-based impact assessment of carbon pricing on the Canadian forest industry.Worked under a four-month co-op in the strategic policy branch of the CFS, writing memos and briefing notes for the ADM, synthesizing inter-provincial meetings, and researching internal background papers.Additional files include the forest bioeconomy sector, policy issue forecasting, urban forestry, and biofuels adoption in Canada.

Worked on a SSHRC funded project studying mining sustainability, rehabilitation and best practice between Australia, Canada and the US, with all data acquired from publicly available sources.Duties included transcribing interviews, writing information requests, and researching mining publications.

Worked as part of the Central African Republic team in an analyst and investigative capacity in both French and English, handling evidence, building case and incident reports, and compiling stats. Worked with programs such as Ringtail, CaseMap, Wynyard and Excel.As a member of the Office of the Prosecutor, operated under a high security clearance and confidentiality agreement, handling sensitive information and contact lists. Attended and contributed to meetings involving the other investigative teams, contributing to discussions and helping to build a larger picture of the Office of the Prosecutors activities.

As part of an international team, worked within the legal library of the court; organizing case law and book archives, assisting ICC staff with legal referencing and sourcing requests, collection and organization of statistics related to library queries and requests, and management of larger project related to the legal library and documentation unit as required.Worked on reference and research projects for the United Nations, International Tribunal for Lebanon, International Tribunal for Cambodia, Max Planck Institute, and the International Court of Justice.Became familiarized with security measures, emergency preparedness drills and sensitivity classifications for documents and areas of the ICC.

Served as Program Editor of defence and security procurement, leading a team of junior research fellows across Canada, performing edits and fact checks as necessary, and directing research into Canadian defence policy.Helped to organize various conferences and round tables centered on the Canadian defence industry, NATO coalition operations, and university outreach, often working in a group environment.

Communications Intern. Responsibilities: daily update of business blogs and websites; developing design strategies for website overhaul; researching potential business clients and strategies; reporting at official events using social media applications.
