As head of the Reporting Centre, at corporate headquarters, I was responsible for the development and maintenance of the company’s financial reporting systems. Leading a group with 8 direct reports to ensure the reporting systems for group consolidation and customised business reporting processes.The Group consolidation (under IFRS) was based on SAP/BO solutions and business reporting processes were based on SAP/BO and BI tools, such as Essbase/Hyperion and TM1/Cognos. The target was to develop and foster a unified reporting system throughout the group to allow control checks and reconciliation between the group consolidation tool and the business specific reporting.Key achievements:➢ Transition and implementation of new tool, to Magnitude (SAP/Business Object) with interactive Inter-Company recordings.➢ Development of business specific project reporting with Hyperion Essbase & TM1/Cognos.➢ Enhancement of the IT infrastructure to reduce consolidation time and replication of data to multidimensional databases.➢ Support and organising roll-out of large training programmes in association with the acquisition of Power division in 2001/02.

Based in Lyon, France at the Alstom T&D Headquarter as Business Controller for the Medium Voltage Division. Reporting to the VP Finance of the Medium Voltage division, which included 40 business units worldwide and with an annual turnover of € 1 billion. As part of the acquisition of the AEG Daimler-Benz T&D division I was supporting the integration of financial reporting, which included temporary unit assignments. Recurrent tasks included consolidation and reconciliation of business figures; financial analysis and supporting management in strategic decisions; budget planning; restructuring plans. Main geographic areas of responsibility were Northern Europe and South America.

Regensburg Area, Germany

Based in Regensburg, Germany at the Headquarters of AEG T&D Mittelspannungsbereich as Business Controller, a division that included 20 business units worldwide and with an annual turnover of € 500 million. Business controller and member of the finance team of the Medium Voltage Business area, with main tasks related to monthly reporting and analysis; cost controlling and budget planning. Coordination of an internal purchase pool for the European Units, overseeing compliance in terms of transfer pricing.
