• Provided detailed knowedge of legacy systems to external contractors to develop Business Process Models (BPMs) for the project • Developed Functional and Technical Specifications detailing the migration process of core product information from legacy systems to the new system. • Created SQL Server Stored Procedures and DTS packages to implement an Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process to extract the product data from our old legacy systems, to transform out old concept of articles and variants to the new format of Root article, Logistical Variants, and Sales Variants using the enrichment application which interfaces to the new system.• Analysed defects to determine the root cause of the issue. This involved analysing the problem, tracing the product back through our ETL process, through our enrichment process and back as far as the source data. I would then either resolve the issue or assign it to the person responsible for the area.

• Lead an IT team of 14 people at a Musgrave SuperValu Centra (MSVC) Tradeshow in Punchestown Event Centre . • Responsible for the analysing change requests on Scanwise, a retail back-office application. The work involved was weighed against the benefits to all users of the system to determine which requests were to be carried out. • Developed enhancements for Scanwise using Visual Basic and SQL Server • Provided 2nd line support for all stores using our applications • Responsible for generation of specifications of applications to cater for the companies various reporting needs • Established installation procedures for installation of a new ordering device provided by third party suppliers Intermec and IT Providers • Provided training courses on use of new Intermec Handhelds to retailers and store workers.

• Responsible for running weekly import jobs of store files into a SQL Server database, using SQL import procedures that I enhanced for efficency and stability. • Developed a suite of reports via SQL Stored Procedures to report on store performances to the internal departments of MSVC • Generated Ad-hoc reports for the trading and finance departments to satisfy their once off needs, e.g how a certain products sales were effected by a news item. • Piloted an internet shopping application and maintained the data for the application throughout the pilot
