Following a short stint as contractor for them, I joined Divido full time as the first tech hire and worked directly with the CTO for four years. During that time we went from our first integration with a small e-commerce site to working with the biggest international banks.The company grew from 9 to +70 with around half working in tech during my time and the biggest team I managed was 6 persons, but due to the startup nature that size fluctuated wildly.I was part of the core tech team responsible for architecture, strategy and contact with high profile accounts, but I also wrote a whole lot of Go, PHP, JS, handled a bunch of data in various databases, pipes and search indices and wrangled AWS.Due to the nature of the service provided, we handled a lot of personal data and a lot of money flowed through our systems and that gave me pretty solid experience in navigating the regulations around data retention and financial services.By far my most interesting 4 years and I learned a lot from some very smart people.

During a short but intense period I worked alongside the Lead at Acast, building their new web. It was before React had reached 1.0 and it required a bit of creativity and perserverance to keep up with the sudden changes in the API. A great oppurtunity to dive head first into something new and start delivering value right away.

I was the first hire with a focus on web and Linux and was the principal developer for their new business system, replacing and augmenting existing systems.My team grew from me to four more during my years and was my first formal foray into tech leadership, but it had no people management component. The development was based on an open source CRM project and made together with a consultant agency with which I had the main technical contact.The project went on for several years, spanning diverse parts of the business and that meant a lot of requirement management, integration with everything from IBM big iron to modern JSON services.This happened during a technical shift in the company, from legacy mainframe tech to a more modern stack and many very useful lessons were learned.

At Lenson I was part of an ongoing modernization project, writing a major part of the front end code.I was also deeply involved in the e-commerce backend, doing a lot of work for launching into new markets, including internationalization efforts.My leaving project was an internal system for the logistics department, interfacing with a multitude of other business systems and operated with nothing but a barcode reader!

I joined webbhuset through an accui-hire and worked there for about two years.My job was mostly revolving around maintaining old customer solutions but I was also part of the early steps of migration away from in-house solutions to open source standard platforms.
