I started my studies at Howest when the first iPhone came out and Flash was king. Eager to become a Deviner, the much sought unicorn who does both design and Development ( AS3 & HTML - CSS - JS ). During my last semester before graduation it had become clear to me that my newly obtained skill of object oriented AS3 development had become of no interest to possible employers. I saw that, as a digital native, I would have keep learning continuously. I decided to make design my main specialization, with a strong emphasis on UI design. This is what I love doing most, where my passion lies, and where continuous growth comes naturally. I did my internship as UI designer at Little Miss Robot where I got to collaborate with some of the most talented (hard working) people I've met. Thereafter I started working at Adagio Agency, where I learned to work more autonomously and with commercial goals in mind. How to plan a website and keep it within a budget. The need for user testing and prototyping. The need for a user centered design.After Adagio Agency I started working at Sevenedge, where I got to work on long-term projects for major brands together with my peers and senior colleagues. This enabled me to not only develop further as a designer, but also as a professional. Finding my place amidst a diverse and talented team of other passionate digital natives meant looking for a balance of teamwork, autonomy and responsibility. While working at Sevenedge I also attended evening classes (6 hours per week) to learn how to draw, to strengthen my graphical insights.At the present time I'm working on a Freelance basis. I am convinced that good design is a methodology for solving problems without failing to trigger an emotion. As a designer, I aim to fill the gap between the client, PM and development.
