Film director / producer and entrepreneur. Following his film education at Utrecht School of the Arts, Jonas has worked for many years as a freelance film director under the name Calling the Shots. Jonas has made several short feature films, including the award winning short Strike (2009) (acquired by Canal+, France), Lost in Time (2012) and Pom (the great) (2019 in post-production). Other ventures include ownership at Time Traveling Agency Tempeest, a story-based game studio for children and a tech | film company DDIV (2020), which combines knowledge in film direction, animation, interactive storytelling and technology. Today Jonas' interests lie mostly in stories about sustainability and promoting solutions for the challenges ahead to confront the climate crisis. With Broekhuizen Communicatie and Bijker Films Jonas makes stories for government and entrepreneurs, about science & innovation, promising start-ups and scale-ups. We need all the stories we can get, because stories can get everything moving in the right direction and we all need to be a part of that challenge.
