CurrentResponsibilities at ODOT District 9 include significant work on the Highway Safety Program. Highway Safety Program duties include:• Performing safety studies• Preparing, submitting, and presenting safety applications • Acting planning project manager for safety projects (programming assistance, scoping, project handoff)• Preparation and leadership of District 9 DSRT meetings. • Assisting locals with safety applications (preparation through scoping)• Evaluation of annual District 9 HSIP location list.Other job responsibilities include general traffic/safety related studies related to public requests (speed studies, sight distance studies, traffic studies, etc.). Work on significant projects outside of the Highway Safety Program include:• Managing the ODOT District 9 Transportation System Management and Operations (TSMO) program.• Creating a district prioritization list for proposed projects without secured funding• Creating a district prioritization list for major proposed projects without secured funding• Curve signage design for statewide curve signage upgrade project (designed the most curves in District 9)• Represented ODOT during creation of the Ross County Active Transportation Plan• Assisted in creating the project scope format for District 9 safety projects
