During my studies I got the opportunity to write my postgraduate thesis for Wood Mackenzie Research and Consulting.Working as an insurance supervisor at the Financial Supervisory Authority of Iceland. Promoting safety and soundness of supervised firms and contributing to the protection of insurance policyholders. Icelandic representative in the Internal governance, Supervisory Review and Reporting (IGSRR) working group at the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA). IGSRR is responsible for drafting guidelines and technical standards for Solvency II.Working towards Solvency II implementation in Iceland, focusing on Pillar II and Pillar III topics.
