• DEI/IDEA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility) committee co-founder and member• In my first year (2018-2019) as Community Programs Manager, I increased organizational outreach and partnerships with QTBIPOC communities of color from 29% in 2017 under previous managers to 74% in 2018 with my supervision. These efforts have continued since 2018 to present with a 100% partnership rate with QTBIPOC communities and event partners in the following categories: -- BIPOC Arts & Cultural Organizations-- Individual Artists/Experts -- Social Service, Civic & Other partnerships• Identify and cultivate community program partnerships through outreach efforts within the greater Portland area while centering BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, and all intersectional communities through mission-centric initiatives.• Create engaging cultural and educational programming centered around PCS’ theater productions and mission statement to encourage participation from diverse constituencies and provide both adults and young people with opportunities to experience and directly participate in the art of theater and cultural events within Portland Center Stage. • Collaborate with departmental and organizational leadership to conduct evaluation and assessment of programs for continued refinement and improvement.• Partner with over 200 organizations a year for programs reaching almost 20,000 participants for our monthly events and annual theater season with cultural programs that are free and open to the public.• Publish and maintain website content and manage social media posts for related programming and events/schedules/classes.• Moderate and host public and private events (pre-show entertainment, post-show discussions, etc.) within the common areas, theaters, classrooms and public lobbies.

A Beat Happening (ABH) is a free, all ages, monthly, BIPOC and LGBTQIA-centered, inclusive, music producer and DJ showcase based in Portland (OR), featuring all genres, all skill levels, and all levels of experience. We focus our shows and artist rosters on all skill levels, equal representation for people of color, gender, and a DIY effort to build and support our community.
