The report gained prominence on Jornal Nacional (Brazil's main news program) and was submitted as part of a petition to the Brazilian Supreme Court.∗ Wage Inequality Among São Paulo’s Teachers: Using municipal and federal data, I analyzed the socioeconomic disparities among 800,000 students in public schools in São Paulo and their correlation with teacher salaries in each school. The report received extensive media coverage.

Responsible for co-developing a deep learning algorithm using PyTorch, aimed at identifying structurally damaged buildings within the city of Baltimore. This algorithm harnessed aerial image processing of the city in conjunction with tabular housing data. Remarkably, it achieved a precision rate exceeding 91% in identifying high-risk structures. The model's outcomes furnished the municipal Department of Housing and Community Development with insights into approximately 80 jeopardized residences that were previously unbeknownst to the department. This timely awareness empowered them to take proactive measures, potentially safeguarding over 5,000 residents. Throughout the project's duration, we maintained regular exchanges with our collaborators from the Baltimore City Government, ensuring that the final model not only met their expectations but also had the potential to yield a positive impact.
