London-based, I am Jonas, an experienced machine learning engineer / software developer / DevOps person / data engineer, aka somewhat a generalist in tech. More recently I have been more involved in the messy world of AI, with a current penchant for LLMs and what they offer now/may offer in the near future. I've been spending lots of time trying to better understand how best to make use of said technologies as part of the coding experience. I'm passionate about climbing, music woodwork and DIY. These pursuits I think keep me well rounded. In my time away it seems the focus of many companies has moved from building proprietary models, to learning to best harness existing foundational models. I'm keen to jump into this new world as an AI engineer / Software engineer for AI / applied LLM engineer. Maybe the nomenclature will crystallise soon!As of June 2024, I'm keen to find a cool new opportunity this summer as an AI engineer, or simply to connect with fellow tech enthusiasts and adventurers to discuss emerging technologies or global happenings.
