The assignment is within a subproject (MARCH) of a larger research project (DFEA2020) aiming to identify an electrical architecture for future generations of cars. The subproject regards methodologies for model-driven architecture devel-opment and evaluation.With the exponential growth of functions that has been going on within the automotive industry during the last couple of years the challenge lies in making continued growth possible, which mainly occurs through software.It is partly the amount of code that is increasing, and partly the functions’ dependencies of each other, making the software more complex and harder to overview and maintain. The subproject aims to identify more efficient methods and processes for development of electrical architecture. This is done to make a better communication possible, both within VCC, and between VCC and their software and subsystem suppliers, regarding primarily requirements, design and verification.
