Scrum Master from the start of agile at AVEVA. In my distributed team I lead the work with the development of E3D Design, the next generation of AVEVA's software for marine modelling, production and information management. In late 2019 we reached a major milestone with the release of E3D3.1 as a starting point for marine customers to replace their legacy systems. These systems had over 4 decades of history and millions of code lines in the source, and the development teams in Malmö replaced a good 90% of the old code base in this new release.Except for standard scrum master duties, this extended role included close cooperation with our product owner and helping to maintain and prioritize the product backlog. Other important working relations involved our test department, local support and the company’s central business strategy function.During the later part of this period I took a leading role in and finalized implementation of new best practices for our software development, including implementation of development tools, processes and automation of builds, testing and deployment.

Acted as a link between the company's UX and development organizations. Helped formulate common criteria for allocation of limited UX resources to development projects. Actively advocated employment of a local UX practitioner in our Malmö office, and early 2017 we employed a new UX designer. Regularly and actively engaged in UX questions in the company. This includes hands-on UX work, such as doing prototypes, during every-day development. Lead the planning, execution and analysis of user testing activities before the release of E3D, AVEVA's new marine 3D modelling software. Raised usability awareness and spread knowledge among developers by arranging a local activity for the Malmö office employees during World Usability Day, which was much appreciated.
