Sr Business Systems Analyst
In this client facing role, responsible for the delivery of Optum’s Risk Manager, Quality Pathways and Compliance Reporter health plan analytics solutions. These products are used for population risk management, cost and utilization analysis, episode of care analytics, and HEDIS measurements and gap reporting. Involved from kick-off through rollout, working with multiple major healthcare providers at different stages of deployment, adapting and assuming different roles as needs present themselves.• Requirements Gathering – Work side-by-side with clients to understand their business processes to best determine requirements for the application, inbound/outbound data feeds, business rules, reporting, etc. Perform gap analysis, create user stories, use cases and document current and future business process flows via Visio. Determine application security needs, as well as users and groups security needs.• Application Development & Implementation – Evaluate and log customer requirements/changes/enhancements in Jira and work with onshore/offshore developers to prioritize, complete, test and deliver. Develop release notes and work with client to deploy the software. • QA Testing – Develop and present client specific testing plan which includes testing for the application, data feeds, trumping/business rules, reports, and an end-to-end test to run with the client prior to rollout. For all releases, verify all logged items are tested prior to client delivery, as well as general regression testing. • Documentation & Training – Create documentation on an ongoing basis, including release notes, deployment instructions, runbooks, SOPs, etc., all maintained and organized on SharePoint. Provide training for application users on software best practices, as well as back-end configuration to IT staff.
