As a PhD researcher at the University of Helsinki, I conducted comprehensive ethnographic fieldwork among Xhosa communities in Cape Town, South Africa. My doctoral thesis examined the intricate world of South African AIDS myths, examining their cultural and narrative significance in the context of apartheid-era legacies. I challenged previous notions of these myths as straightforward influences on behavior, revealing their multifaceted nature and cultural resistance against the disease. My work emphasized the importance of understanding the nuanced expressions and historical meanings within a specific cultural setting.

During my time at Cision, I served as a Project Manager, where I successfully managed media insight accounts with a diverse portfolio of clients. In addition to team leadership, I played a pivotal role in providing valuable media insights, contributing to the successful execution of strategic communications initiatives.
