• Directed the production for all areas of Molecular and Flow cytometry and hematology services in the organization.• Performed accurate quality control monitoring of diagnostic tests, overseeing the preparation of technical procedures, training manuals and plans, and the design and implementation of a new custom LIS.• Serve as the CAP and New York Department of Health coordinator, maintaining records and overseeing proficiency testing, alternate assessment, employee competence, quality assurance, and quality improvement in line with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.• Coordinated all workload and staffing for all shifts, including both production and development personnel.• Oversaw the development and maintenance of technical worksheets for daily workflow across molecular shifts and the transition of new tests from the development team to production. • Led new hire orientation and annual performance evaluations for staff.• Added valued input while participating in budget preparation, cost analysis, and workload management, oversaw the budget for 3 areas of Molecular Production, Molecular Development, and Flow/Hematology, and forecasted and created business models for budgets and staffing purposes.Notable achievements while in the position included:- Worked in collaboration with software designers to create a state-of-the-art molecular-specific LIS system that created efficiencies and technological advancements to better support product and clinical offerings. - Drove an operational cost reduction of 12.8% per test.- Managed department budgeting and operations that had generated $2M in billable tests.- Selected to serve as the Molecular Director for enterprise-wide initiatives as required. - Led a successful project to decentralize molecular testing, building a functional molecular lab in Florida with FDA approved testing, 2 different molecular platforms, and 5 approved tests, which offered better service to clients.
