Supporting flight and mission operation, integration, and training tasks of the Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit for both Lunar and Low Earth Orbit operations

- Acting as interim deputy manager over entire payloads engineering team of 12 engineers and technicians.- Oversaw the project management of building a prototype of our internal payload system that requiredcrashing of resources to meet the schedule due date.- Drafted Payload Customer User Guide and customer facing Interface Control Document to introduce and detail Axiom Space’s payload interfaces and processes with potential customers.- Helped meet a CDR deliverable date by drafting requirements, verification closure records, interface control documents, and an operations concept for all internal payload systems- Performed as Scrum master for the Internal Payload team leading retro, planning, and daily scrums.- Began to stand up Axiom Customer Engineering Support team by providing inputs into the payload customer journey and how it relates to the engineering team at large.

• Promoted to technical lead of all Human Research Facility Payload Systems Engineers. I oversaw technical work, mission control operations, team priorities, team goals, and resources such as personnel assignments to systems. I was responsible for analyzing resources and expressing needs for any short falls to upper management levels. As lead, I was also responsible for the technical training of new PSEs, overseeing trainings through their certification by leading them through their training plans and sitting console sessions with them to provide on the job training. I continued my work as the simulation supervisor for the rest of the Human Research Facility ultimately receiving a Leidos Spot Award for my work in tackling all aspects of two positions at once.• Maintained console certification and supported over 100 console shifts from the Telescience Support Center in JSC’s Mission Control Center Building 30 and supported Rodent Research and JAXA Mouse Habitat experiments from the Leidos Operations Center.• Served as the Increment Lead PSE for Increment 62 and 63 requiring me to use, understand, review, and develop flight rules, ground rules and constraints, payload regulations, change requests, and crew procedures in order to properly execute HRF experiments on orbit the International Space Station.• Coded scripts into commanding displays to create barriers to ensure wrong command datasets were not sent to the ISS.• Provided project management work from a a technical engineering operations standpoint on switching ground architecture and systems in the Telescience Support Center. The project switched local workstations to NASA provided hardware for considerable cost savings and greater technical use by ground support personnel• Reorganized the Human Research Facility PSE team by creating a tiered matrix organization that would allow cross training between hardware systems for redundancies in a group with high personnel turnover and an ever increasing work load.

• Earned certification as a Payload Systems Engineer flight controller for the Human Research Facility equipment racks and laptops. In this position I was the console operator and technical engineering operational expert for the Human Research Facility racks and laptops on board the International Space Station supporting over 100 console sessions. • Served as Increments 55 and 56's liaison managing technical systems of ground infrastructure used in the Telescience Support Center in Mission Control Center. While in this role, our team received the NASA Group Achievement Award for the implementation of an upgraded ground systems infrastructure and software that applied new methods of telemetry displays and commands that resulted in major cost and time savings.• Served as the increment lead Payload System Engineer for Increment 57 and 58 for increment planning, development, and execution role.• Oversaw a project to install a new Improved Payload Ethernet Hub Gateway into the Human Research Facility racks.• Trained astronauts and other flight controllers on the Human Research Facility racks and laptops. This involved tailoring the training to the student depending on their role as a crew member, hardware flight controller, stowage flight controller, etc.• Received Human Research Program Peer Award after the failure of critical hardware resulting in extensive troubleshooting work leading to operating both racks on orbit to utilize the failed equipment. No loss of science was incurred in the following weeks of on orbit operations while a fix was developed and implemented.• Took on additional responsibility as the Human Research Facility Simulation Supervisor which put me in charge of all training simulations used for certifying new experiments and flight controllers including other Payload System Engineers. I created a Simulation Supervisor Handbook to preserve all simulation related knowledge and to standardize procedures and processes.

- Organized and archived a backlog of operational change requests onto the HRF SharePoint site.- Developed a crew procedure to install an Improved Payload Ethernet Hub Gateway into an on orbit HRF Rack- Completed the entire Ground Support Personnel training program given to full time new hires.

- Contributed to engineering teams designing equipment for water treatment, nitrogen generation, air compression and water injection into oil fields by creating drawings, calculating equipment specifications, and writing technical reports evaluating technologies.

Experimented with various chemicals added to shape memory polymers to strengthen the polymers without losing their shape memory properties.
