Jonathan has been recommended in Doyle’s Guide and Legal 500 for his criminal, and family & private client practice. His practice includes a broad range of complex criminal matters, including commercial and white collar crime, SFC related offences, regulatory offences and private prosecutions.Jonathan also acts in civil commercial matters, including those involving frauds, trusts, probate, and high conflict matrimonial disputes. In both his criminal and civil practice, Jonathan regularly advises high net worth clients and companies, both locally and in China. Jonathan is a seasoned trusted advocate in all levels of court and tribunals. He is a fellow of CIArb and a CEDR mediator.Outside practice, Jonathan has been an active advocacy trainer in Hong Kong since 2007, for young barristers, Department of Justice and recently the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He has also been invited to train lawyers abroad in other jurisdictions, including Malaysia/ Singapore/ South Africa. In public service, Jonathan is a member of the Chief Executive’s Election Committee, and serves as honorary secretary to Union Church (Cap.1052). He also serves as chairman for Building Appeal Tribunal.
