Primary responsibilities · Assist in the management of portfolio risk, contract pricing, capital allocation, and risk roll-up using catastrophe risk assessment models and proprietary re/insurance applications. ·Validate commercial catastrophe models by testing, benchmarking, and assess their conceptual soundness. ·Conduct risk analysis using catastrophe risk modeling software (AIR, EQE, RMS), including data preparation and incorporation into the catastrophe modeling process, querying databases, and preparing reports.·Conduct analytical and research studies and apply knowledge of probability and statistics to develop practical solutions to quantify catastrophe risk and enhance the use of catastrophe models.

As a Catastrophe Risk Modeler at Guy Carpenter in 2012, I assessed the company’s exposure to catastrophic risk utilizing stochastic models as well as generated results from model validation and testing. I enhanced the multi-skilled competencies of analytical hires of start-up clients via training. I contributed to the success of company innovation and product development by actively performing as a member of the Corporate think tank.Provided quantitative support for structuring Insurance-linked securities such as Catastrophe Bonds and ILWs.An achievement in this tenure include:~ Worked closely with a start-up insurance client since inception, providing analytics and advisory to help them achieve $120M in revenue from $0 in two years.
