I am passionate about Computational Biology, and how it can be applied to develop drugs, analyze diseaseprogression, and explore alternative energies. I am interested in studying biology through a bidirectionalcomputational lens, garnering insights from both biophysical simulation and massive dataset statistical analysis. My current research revolves around the assessment of various Carbohydrate Binding Modules to develop powerful new lignocellulosic biofuels. To this end, I use computational methods to screen enzymes for biofuel efficacy. These techniques include sequence and structural alignment, molecular docking, and binding site prediction. Promising enzymes are assessed further through biophysical experimentation with Acoustic Force Spectroscopy.
