As Officer Commanding (OC) Programming Flight, was responsible for the maintenance of Sqn Operational capability, meeting its training objectives through coordination, planning and management of the flying programme. As Sqn Flt Cdr ensured the highest standards were maintained in all Sqn activities through the effective leadership, management, career development and discipline of Flight Officers.Navigator on Tornado GR4/4A in the Attack, Reconnaissance and Close Air Support Roles. Awarded Joint Commanders Certificate of Commendation on 2015 Operational Honours List for outstanding airborne leadership during a key Operation SHADER combat mission.

On returning to flying duties following a staff role, was quick to regain all leadership and supervisory qualifications. As Sqn EWI, took responsibility for all aspects of the Electronic Warfare training and tactics on the Sqn whilst liaising with Sqn Engineering in ensuring all EW requirements were delivered.As Deputy OC Programing flight, provided decision support to the OC whilst managing the daily allocation and utilisation of up to 10 Tornado GR4 aircraft to support the flying task. Directed greater efficiency across the Sqn whilst carefully managing flight safety, fatigue, currencies and engineering risk.
