I've been involved in industrial research, including electronic product design and manufacturing, for several years. I’m able to use both my electrical and optical engineering knowledge for product development.At Optoniks, I’ve been leading the development of the profilometry system. We’ve been developing code to provide ease of use and properly interface with our hardware for commercialization. I assist on the research front to devise unique solutions regarding algorithms and optical concepts. Over the past several years, we've been working to finalize a profilometry system as well as developing other metrology-related systems. Upon finishing my Electrical Engineering degree in 2012, I cofounded a company, CompSolUSA, where we engineer and develop a combination of electrical and computer related systems. This includes the development of schematics, board layouts, embedded systems and firmware along with high level software such as websites, web apps and mobile apps. Recent work is more heavily related to the IOT space and system integration. My PhD is in Optical Science and Engineering with a specialty is Optical Metrology. My current work is related to film layer thickness measurement. A yearlong internship with Intel in Chandler, AZ several years ago helped me understand Intel's needs regarding precision measurement and quality control and provided helpful insights into my current work.
