Contribute to new feature development and maintenance of an iOS/tvOS framework for the Xfinity Stream iOS application. This framework is responsible for abstracting/managing interaction with AVFoundation, dynamic ad insertion and ad viewership reporting, digital rights protection, video playback analytics, and emergency alerts.Lead the integration of Nielsen audience measurement into the Xfinity Stream app. Designed and implemented an analytics engine to perform asynchronous monitoring of content and ad playback and then communicate this data to Nielsen's API.Reduced the power consumption of the application by roughly 5% through an optimization of ad event monitoring. Replaced a loop based search of non-changing ad information with hash table lookups.Led the development of a dynamic URL generation service, which resolves fully qualified video playlist URLs by combining RFC6570 compliant URL templates and configuration data. This alleviates the need for many one-off use cases of URL manipulation, and standardizes the behavior across all application platforms (iOS, Android, and Web).
