Most known as the architect of the field of PAINS - or Pan Assay Interference Compounds - Jonathan Baell PhD is a highly experienced and well-credentialed medicinal chemist, & Executive Director of Discovery Chemistry at Lyterian Therapeutics (San Francisco). He is a sought-after Medicinal Chemistry Consultant. From 2012-2022, he has been Director, Australian Translational Medicinal Chemistry Facility, Monash University. He has more than 20 years of experience in medicinal chemistry-led drug discovery and development at the public-private interface, with more than 150 publications and 9000 citations, including first author Nature 2018, and more than 80 granted patents, outcomes for which include licensing deals and drug candidates progressing to Phase II clinical trials.
